The project of sport motorcycle prototype created for the company Zortrax, was based on the frame, engine and suspension of Daytona model by Triumph. Our task was to create a completely different motorcycle using 3D technology, FDM, plastics processing technologies and painting. It was necessary before scanning and design to build a new tank, along with all the supporting structure of the seat and the entire rear to prepare for new design.
The person responsible for the entire process, prototype design was Piotr Czyżewski, which directly dealt with the design of the whole motor, printing, the organization of the project and also assembling of a prototype at which also participated Adam Wesołek and Michał Mosiej. The person responsible for painting the motor in the final color scheme was Michael Mosiej. Adam Wesołek and Michał Mosiej was responsible for processing and preparation of all parts for the painting. 3D Phoenix company also participated in project as responsible for scan of motorcycle which was a base for new project.
The entire prototype consists from 173 printed parts, which finally give 44 parts. The prototype was made in about 1.5 months.
