The task of this design studio was to look into and consider earthquake resistant design and implement it into a functioning building. From a selection of public buildings, I chose a University Library to design. The goals for this project were to make the building earthquake proof and, if possible, design the building as such that if a disaster occurs, that the building can be well equipped to deal with all the homeless and injured people. It also had to be aestheticaly pleasing on the eye.
