This was a self-initiated group project to explore the possibilities in modelling, using basic materials i.e paper /ivory-sheet / cardboard. This also provided an opportunity for us to interact and work with fellow student of different disciplines.
The materials used included ivory-sheet / cardboard, 2mm transparent acrylic, black chart paper and bonding agent. During the project, we also utilised laser cutting process for cutting and marking acrylic The model is made on a scale of 1:10 with respect to the real car which translates roughly to about 90 inches in length, 13 inches* in width and 9.5 inches* in height.
We made this in a group of four consisting of two 3rd year students, as well as two 2nd year students, the duration of this project is estimated at 4 weeks and we are currently into the 3rd week progressing towards completion.
