2016

i spent the September 2016 in Mersin, Turkey, where i got adopted by a feminist-anarchists-marxist-communist-pacifist-activist-whatever group of Kurds, as the inhabitant painter of Cafe Rail Mersin. i got total freedom to leave my fingerprint behind, so i spent two weeks painting a mural to one of the walls, processing the memories and impacts of the past 11 month - the moments of my journey from Portugal to Turkey. the scenes what we all share by traveling long term, hitchhiking, sleeping in the nature, being lost, meeting amazing people, falling in love, arriving and leaving: everyone's and noone's story on the road.

as i was painting during my travels, i had no proper equipment with me to record the creating process. i asked people passing by and taking photos to send them to me, so here they come, photos made by different cellphones, tablets, with or without filters, watermarks, portraits and selfies, in any quality - but all made with curiosity and love.
