Web Design and Identity
KidGrade is a resource for parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. who want to find fun things to do for kids in the city of Chicago (for now). The categories are split into 4 environments: eat, play, shop and stay. Users can then sign up and grade each each location on it’s kid friendliness, giving it a KidGrade between 1-10.
The point of this design was to be fun. Yes, the site is to find fun things to do for kids. However, I knew that adults would be on this site so I found a balance between a playful exterior and a rich user experience.
In addition to designing the website, I also designed the logo for KidGrade. As the point of the site is to grade particular environments, I decided to integrate the checkmark in the logo to give continuity between the logo and the site.
