To celebrate Arizona and reward dedicated runners who finish the whole or half marathon, the Phoenix Marathon asked me to design 5 medals that represent the 5 "C"s of Arizona: copper, cattle, climate, citrus and cotton. They also requested that they somehow fit together, so I designed them to fit together and form the copper star from the Arizona State flag.
