Teaching women about other powerful women in advertising, both in the past and present, is so vital. It inspires us. It teaches us that we're not the first, and we won't be the last. It shows us that there are so many different paths to success. It gives us the opportunity to dream big. That's why I love microaction #13 in the 3% Conference's 50 Things for Faculty list. In my advertising classes, I never got the chance to learn too much about women in advertising. This project allowed me to read about 24 women who have made this industry better for women everywhere. If I ever succeed in this industry, I know I will have to thank trailblazers like Helen Lansdowne Resor, Caroline Jones, and so many more. This project was meant to be both a reminder and a resource for professors to teach their female students about women in advertising. Professors can be inspired by one of the 24 women listed, and incorporate them into one of their lectures or assignments. Read Less
