First thing I wanted to do after reading the Project Guide lines and coming up with a rough project outline was come up with a color scheme. I wanted to represent a ninja and my school with my color choices since I am Ninja Studios. So I brainstormed what characteristics I believed were a vital part of being a ninja and I came up with three words, Stealth, Imagination and Intelligence. Next I need three words that described me, and I came up with loyal, determined, creative. So I researched what colors represented the words I had chosen for my design.
This is my color scheme designed for Ninja Studios. I went with purple not only because its part of the school colors but it is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery. I chose black because of it's association with mystery, stealth and strength. Gray because it denotes formal and sophistication. And white because it of it's representation of cleanliness.
Next I came up with 5 sketches to use as Logos and possibly my poster. And uploaded them to basecamp for some peers reviews from my classmates.

After reading the peer reviews I decided to go with design 3 and turn into my Ninja Studios Logo. Next I needed to find some inspiration for the duck that was in my design. So I looked up some pictures of ducks on bechance. And I found some great inspiration for the shape of my duck from Cindy Bryant's Rescue Mission Photography Project and from Laura Cottrell's Skylar's Birthday Present. After finding some inspiration I started on my duck.
