In 2008, Coca-Cola united American Idol viewers to raise money for charity in a promotion called Get Together. Give Together. Viewers connected on the website and did a nationwide sing along. This was when smartphones were just being introduced, so we had to rely on plain old cell phones and internet connections. It was also featured in the American Idol video game.
