Sun Metro Website Redesign
Concept
Originally tied to the format of the website for the city of El Paso, Sun Metro's site was in desperate need of an overhaul—not just layout and design, but content and navigation. As an in-house designer intimately familiar with the brand, I was asked to come up with initial ideas for the redesign that would speak to the fun, friendly nature of Sun Metro. These ideas were then incorporated into the layout for the redesign of the entire city site being contracted out to another designer. Months of collaboration with the designer saw multiple revisions, wherein we incorporated original photography, symbols and artwork to make getting information simple and intuitive for the novice as well as the seasoned bus rider.

 Challenges
El Paso's community has a high population of non-English speakers, so navigation had to be laid out simply with symbols that told the story with or without text. Also, as a municipality, decisions for design were vetted through several levels without the ability to directly communicate with stakeholders.
