My completed emulation of the Art Nouveau style. I decided to use Princess Peach as my subject because I thought it would be interesting to incorporate images and symbols from the Mario series into an art piece like this. I also really love Peach and she's my main in Smash Bros so there's that too.

A very rough initial sketch. Mainly I just wanted to plot out the look and feel of it.

Lineart and line width experimentation. I was debating on leaving the vines as just silhouettes but they wound up making the piece too heavy and unfocused.

Flat shading on the borders, as well as final shading on Peach and adding in logos/icons from the Mario franchise. This is the step right before my finished piece where I add in the background as well as the textures and some color editing!
