This is actually a three dimensional painting. The wooden board containing the figure is raised several inches off of the back piece of wood from which the red arrow comes from behind, wrapping itself around the raised piece of wood. From the figure right was done with spray paint. The "O" is a gritty tape and paint. That is a an actual map and the drawings on it were done with colored pencils and marker. The landscape in the middle of the maps was done entirely with wood varnish. It's about 4' x 2'.
