Not for cowards

Not a normal shapeThe Autumn Winter 2012 collection reflects my believes as a pattern cutter designer. For me, simplicity and clarity through the collection lines are fundamental elements to create a visual impact. Because despite their simple appearance, if you close up you will be surprise with the attention to details I have put into it and I invite you to interact with the garment and look for more surprises.

Not a colour for cowards I believe that spacial elements such colour and pattern can touch our emotions and make us think or react to them. There are a few very elegant silhouettes in the collection which thanks to its bright colours and the materials mixture look like more styling pieces.
Only a really confident and stylist women would be able to wear this pieces.
How    To    Make
I decided to put together this “creating a collection” look-book from my final major project at university to give this project a timeless sense, to create a book where you can always go back just to see the images or to figure out how to do something in sewing terms.
However, for me this is a way to keep my 2D pattern pieces alive and no only folded inside of a manila envelope for the end of time.
From my range of 15 garment pieces I had selected only three of them, not because they were my favourites, but for their uniqueness in terms of pattern pieces. I know that being in a book still means be plain but I want them to be seeing for more p eople and hopefully have a go with this patterns or even create a first draft/toile from this and re-create their own.
I hope you to enjoy this as I did.
