My final design for Headspin Records logo. This is a self initiated brief to design a logo for a fictional record label. 

These are my first attempts at the design. I had already decided that I wanted to involve an illustrated vinyl record as part of my design. I had also decided on what font I wanted to use for the design, I went through maybe 10 different fonts and this one, Arial Rounded looked the best,

The next stage involved me taking the typography out of the vinyl and placing it next to the illustration, which I believed created a much stronger over all look to the logo. I also contemplated adding a box to the vinyl record, which created a record player, I liked this idea, but I am much happier with my final outcome.
