Painting has always held a special place in my heart and there is almost nothing that I find more relaxing then the soothing touch of a brush to canvas. I have been putting that brush to canvas for nearly as far back as I can remember in some form or the other, but I began truly studying the medium when I was twelve years old.
I have worked in watercolors, acrylic, and gouache. Yet, my true love is oil; to me there is nothing finer under my brush. I enjoy any type of subject with a good composition. Recently, I have been studying the old masters techniques of applying layers and trying to incorporate them into my work.
