The goal for this portrait was to recreate the moment when John proposed to his lovely wife Claire! Sadly, they only had one photo of the moment (below), which could not really capture the magic of the proposal!

The portrait was commissioned by the sister and brother-in-law of the bride-to-be, and intended as a surprise gift for the wedding. Because of the need for secrecy, I had to scour their facebook profiles for reference images so i could create the final image.

Capturing moments like these is part of what i love about doing these portraits. I'm so happy the couple will have something special to remember that moment when she said "Yes!"
