"Seaweed" is the common name for countless species of marine plants and algae that grow in the ocean as well as in rivers, lakes, and other water bodies.
It's considered as one of the most popular dishes in China, the collectors build the net across the ocean, rivers or lakes & wait for the water level to get very low so the seaweed stuck on the nets, therefore they collect it, dry it and sell it to restaurants as well as food factories.
