A cooperation project at Bergen Academy of Art and Design focused on creating a holistic and dynamic visual identity and promotion materials for the Master degree show in design 2016.
In creating an identity design for the Master degree show in design 2016, we wanted to portray the fun, youthful and dedicated personalities of this year’s graduates, particularly with reference to the idea of individualize creative process, approaches.
The identity was established across a variety of supports including print matters (catalogue, business cards, banners, posters, brochure), web design (http://www.muid16.no), signage system and animation.
This year exhibition took a place in the old prison in Bergen. Inspired by that we wanted to enhanced that special contrast between master projects and surrounding. We based the identity on two distinguish elements: the black rectangle which was common for each student and represented strictness of the place and organic fluid form build on personalized parameters which was unique for everyone. Combination of those to aspects of identity has been emphasized by use of typography, 3D and 2D graphic elements and choice of colors.
