CREATE at Arizona Science Center

Logo and branding for makerspace.

CREATE is a community-driven hub where anyone and everyone can imagine, design, and make. Available technologies include 3D printing, laser cutting & engraving, woodworking and electronics.

The project started with the creation of the logo. I was inspired by electronics, fasteners and the notion that the facility embraces the mindset that anything can be done there and it will evolve as needed to meet the needs of users. From here, I created the window wrap and developed posters and rack cards as well as other collateral to promote the facility. Since we did not have the equipment up and running during the beginning phase, I emulated materials and various styles of fabrication through the designs. Once I had a few things figured out, I worked out the preliminary brand guide. Currently, I am working on a phase 2 of the exterior signage as part of an exterior signage plan for Arizona Science Center.

The interior design of the facility was done by Westlake Reed Leskosky.
