Wildcat is a fictitious brand of beer used as a conversation starter. The Brave Batch is the second interpretation of the concept in a series that I brought to life as I needed a better way of introducing myself.
I've chosen beer as a product because it's a conversation starter, and I've actually produced and used them as a way of introducing myself.
I've played on the notion of "small batch" and created three of them, each with different characteristics and style. The Brave Batch is the second one in the series, and its nautical theme was inspired by the Jules Verne novels we used to read as children. The quote on the front of the bottle reads "A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for", and it's a concept I follow in real life, as I'm always wary of being in my comfort zone.
The Brave Batch is an expression of my ability to take risks as a designer, of not being afraid to speak out my ideas and of always pushing myself further than others would be comfortable to go.
