Recently I have been photographing in urban cities while using a range finder film camera. I seek a play of light and shadow, a formal organization of space, and a sense of place. The subjects are both recognizable, familiar, memorable and often anonymous. They are an homage to the history of photography, reminiscent of the past, and also in dialogue with contemporary photography.
The original photographs are silver gelatin prints made from 35mm film.
