In the first version created very early in my masters program this image acted more like a sketch than an actual finished product. This "sketch" allowed me to work out concepts that I thought would speak well to the name "My Nerd Out" that I  developed to represent my personal brand. The concept used something commonly associated with nerds, the glasses, to create a logo that echoed the name. Much like many of my sketches this concept proved to be over complicated and needed simplification.

This final development seen above echoes the work seen in the rest of my portfolio. I eliminated the use of the glasses as an image because I felt that it was taking the name too literally and wasn't indicative of any of my other work. The use of the anatomical skull echoes a great deal of my other work while its positioning gives the impression that the text is escaping the inside of the skull.
