I've been using joinery to enhance a piece structurally as well as aesthetically for a few years now. Following George Nakashima's lead in bringing attention to nature's wonder through it's imperfections. After doing more traditional joinery techniques for years, this is my first more "dimensional" joint. So far, I've received some fairly strong reactions to it, from both sides of the street.
