Tradigital Works for Exhibit

Tried to experiment mixed media art for two exhibits I joined recently. From digital study to a traditional artwork.
Digital Studies made in Photoshop

"Alab ng Puso (Fervor Burning)"
18 x 24 inches
Back then, tradition must be followed by men when courting ladies. Harana is singing to woo women underneath her window at night. For a Pinoy to be truly a man, one must win the heart of his irog (loved one).

"Land of the Morning"
14 x 19 inches
From the first phrase of our National Anthem “Land of the Morning” depicts a typical scene that every Filipino knows - A rooster crowing when the sun comes. On artwork’s aesthetics, Okir - a process and style of carving in Mindanao, was used to form two things: (1) Clubs symbol for the exhibit’s theme and (2) Sarimanok - a legendary bird and a symbol of fortune in Mindanao.

For "Alab ng Puso", I made a cut out artwork. I put foam board at the back of each element to have a pop out look.

For "Land of the Morning", I use pen and ink.
Pictures of me at the exhibit with the artwork. :)
