Graphic Overtures - Group Exhibition
Graphic Overtures brings together the perspectives of five artists on those things they personally regard as important to us as a society.

5 artists employed a variety of media in an exploration of subjects ranging from tradition and our use of technology, to our relationships with one another and the environment. It is an invitation to consider not just what we value, but how we arrive at and express these values.

As for me I used illustration to interrogate the apparent disconnect between what we claim to value, and those things on which we actually expend our effort. I want the audience to question what they value and how they came to value something.

"Cellular attachment"
An illustration about how much we value our phones, social media and connectivity.
"CONNECTION"
An illustration about how much we value human relationships, especially those with our confidants.
"Freedom"
An illustration about how valuable freedom is and how its something you have to fight for.
"POWER"
An illustration about how much we value power. Power can bring you riches and glory but at the same time can also corrupt and destroy.
