BISTRO FATIMAH CAFE
Logo and Brand Identity
I got a call from my old friend to design a Logo and Brand Identity for his new Coffee shop located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jakarta which has a blend of traditional and modern architecture and the mix of both the eastern and western cuisines, many coffee shops you can find are in the busy corners filled with tourists and locals. The name of the coffee shop is 'Bistro Fatimah Cafe' since name was too long to fit in boards/signages and difficult to remember or notice the name of the cafe in the busy street, I decided to highlight the word 'CAFE'. After doing research on the company's goal and vision, I used the CUP icon and the initial letter of CAFE i.e. 'C' to make it look like a handle of Cup in a script font.
I used three color palette which are taken from Indonesian traditional patterns color 'Batik' to give a delicious, robust, warm, cultural and richness outdoor feelings.
For the letter 'CAFE' I use the pure white color to give the sense of purity and milk. Tyepface are mix of script and san serif to give the modern and elegant look and feel. Patterns are created using the coffee beans and geometric lines and the reference from the traditional Indonesian pattern 'Batik' to give a cultural feeling.
