Final Major Project- Julsa

Julsa
A new range of Gujarati Foods.
The origin of Gujarati food is from the state of Gujarat in India. It is primarily a vegetarian cuisine, that is based on the tradition from the Hindu culture. Gujarati food is an area which is not well known or popular in the UK, it is a niche market in the Indian food sector. Many people are aware of Indian food, but not regional food from the country.

I have created a new brand and range of packaging to introduce Gujarati food in the UK market, the three products Dhokla, Patra and Handvo are all foods which can be eaten as a snack or as a side dish.
This is my brand 'Julsa', which translates as an event where people get together and eat, drink and be merry. As this is a new brand this is the approach I wanted to go for, and exciting new range for people to try and expand their culinary tastes.
This is the brand pattern I created, it is the brand name in Gujarati lettering repeated.
To show how the packaging could be visualised I have photographed them with the actual food inside.
All three packaging boxes.
