I decided to advertise the Land Lubbers Day in San Diego's Seaport Village this weekend. I chose this event because it's definitely different and sounded really run. It's kind of quirky, cause it's not every day people fan out and pretend to talk like pirates! I wanted the ad to appeal to parents and families because I felt like this is a great community event -- they had games and arts and crafts for kids, not to mention costumes. I gave it light happy colors, nothing that came off violent or mean. It's not too kiddish either so adults wouldn't be turned off from going. I kept words simple, though don't know if there's just too much text on the ad.
