I have read Calvino's "Invisible City"(in Chinese) before and fell for his thought provoking imaginations towards city life and society status.
This time we got an assignment to design his another book "SIX MEMOS FOR THE NEXT MILLENIUM",
I felt so exciting and still tough for this work, while finally by applying physical objects shooting into the cover image, these 2 versions covers were done with an metaphor of a island suspending on the reality ground. Hoping the surreal image can evoke some sentimental resonance towards Calvino's literature.
