ABOUT THE PROJECT
ChopstickFest is a food festival that features Vancouver's diverse dining experience that stretches over 9 Chinese culinary regions. ChopstickFest explores the idea of a greater Vancouver “Chinatown” that stretches from its traditional and historic roots in Vancouver’s downtown Eastside to the now Chinese cultural epicentres of Richmond and Burnaby. With a focus on food and food culture, ChopstickFest seeks to embrace the diversity of the greater Vancouver region’s Chinese communities through cuisine.
LOGO DESIGN
The logo is inspired by lots of elements from Chinese culture - the form of Chinese knots, chopsticks that people use everyday, the Lunar New Year scrolls and even the patterns of ancient windows. The centro-symmetric shape also brings the meaning of collaboration and intelligence.
