As a part of a typography class project, students were assigned to create branding and an in-house menu for one of three fake restaurants. Chosen and studied here, Madres was the restaurant featuring Mexican food. We were given free range with this project. Though my favorite logo wasn't picked for further development, I loved playing with type in a funky, modern way.
Our best version was then used to create two menus for the restaurant. The idea was that the logo we created could be used in two different contexts, for whatever branding theme the restaurant had going on. I chose to do them like this:
