"Hatched" is an illustrated deck of cards in which all of the face cards (jack through ace and joker) depict animals found in North America. Each illustration was rendered in ink in a hatch pattern before being digitized for the deck. The face cards (jack, queen, and king) are ordered according to horn (or antler) size; the bison having the smallest horns, then big horned sheep, then moose. The joker is a jackelope, a mythical animal that is a cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope.
