Offensive Lineman Phil Loadholt Retires
Daniel Sheflin possesses more than 20 years of experience in the engineering field, serving with both Honeywell and General Electric, and currently manages technical and personnel duties for more than 5,000 engineers in a $16 billion international segment. In his leisure time, Daniel Sheflin follows the NFL and is a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings right tackle Phil Loadholt is retiring after seven seasons with the team, according to ESPN and media reports. Loadholt was a second-round pick of the Vikings in 2009 and played in 67-straight games until injuring a pectoral muscle in 2013.

Loadholt signed a $25 million extension in 2013 but has suffered with injuries since then. His most recent injury is a torn Achilles tendon, which caused him to miss last year’s entire season. Reports indicate that Loadholt is still experiencing soreness in the tendon after having it surgically repaired. Loadholt is the 14th NFL player under 30 years of age to retire this year.
