The brief given is to gain readers (from the range of college students to young working adults) for The Star newspaper.
However, these are the people that don’t prefer reading long articles any more. Too many texts somehow feels boring, we always prefer seeing things by pictures or even videos.
What we did is simple, we make reading interesting once again. We implement the QR and AR code together with the news itself. Since nowadays everyone is holding a smart phone, that wouldn’t be a problem. By scanning on the QR codes, you’ll be link to videos or websites. You could replay back the video of your favourite football match, seeing the highlights of the match. And let’s say if it’s news about an accident, you could scan the AR codes seeing a 3D model of the actual scene of how it happened.
Consumers now don’t just read, they could have an interactive experience as well.
