Belur & Halebidu, Karnataka
Belur was the Capital of the prominent Hoysala Empire (10-14th Century) located in the Southern India. The rulers of this ancient province patronised art, architecture as well as literature
(a fact which is very evident in these photographs). With Halebidu being only a few miles away,
these two towns have now become a popular tourist destination to any and all who love exploring
ancient india.
Being the amateur photographer that I am, I took the chance to capture as much of its cultural exhuberance as possible!
