2010 SUBSCRIPTION SEASON CAMPAIGN

The Australian National Academy Of Music (ANAM) is Australia’s elite training school for young classical musicians. It occupies a unique niche on the Australian classical music landscape by offering a performance-based training program that fosters inventiveness, imagination and courage in developing the country’s future musical leaders. Its innovative syllabus entices world class artists to mentor and perform with its students. We created a visually arresting signature image to speak in an unexpected and abstract tone, exploring a simplistic yet powerful iconography that would translate potently across print media, digital spaces and large, outdoor billboards becoming the face of the academy’s 2010 performance season. The theme was distilled into a subscription book and other communications, utilizing a monochromatic colour palette that counterbalances geometric forms with more fluid, nebulous imagery referencing the interplay of musical precision and organics.
