A Corkids surge da vontade e inovar na área dos brinquedos por parte de um grupo de jovens designers. Criada em Fevereiro de 2014, partiu do impulso de desenvolveer algo que valoriza-se o material extraído do sobreiro. Atavés da conclusão da pesquisa feita, apercebemo-nos que as características da cortiça associadas às necessidades infantis, seriam uma boa parceria. Tendo em conta que é uma área onde a cortiça ainda não foi explorada, acreditamos que é um campo onde as propriedades deste material seriam uma mais valia para os utilizadores.
Corkids comes from the desire to innovate in the area of toys, by a group of young designers, from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.Born in February 2014, it is born from the impulse to create something that valued the Portuguese material extracted from the cork oak. Through the completion of research, we realized that the properties of cork related to children’s needs would be a good partnership. Given that it is an area where the cork has not been explored, we believe it is a field where the properties of the material would be an added value for our users: the kids.
