In September 2011 Teviot were commissioned to develop a new and revitalised web presence for Heineken (UK)

The aim of the project was to bring the Heineken (UK) online presence up to date with their new branding as well as providing integration between the website and social channels. Other aims for the project included making the site 100% mobile friendly, fully search engine optimised as well as an update to the content managment system.

The project covered a range of skills including brand development, UX design, web & database development, social strategy and management and search engine optimisation.
The ouctcome being that visitor numbers to the site were increased this was mainly due to the use of tighter integration with Google as well as the implementation of a social and SEO strategy.

Key challenges that needed addressing as part of the project, included the bringing together and balancing of the distinct looks, campaigns and social strands of each of the core Heineken brands (Fosters, Strongbow, Heineken, Bulmers, Kronenbourg 1664 & John Smith’s). As well as making the site mobile friendly, which required transforming a legacy flash content to iPhone and iPad friendly rich media.
