This concept - Memento Mori - describes the visual representations of death in the late Middle Ages . These representations assumed different forms , could be objects of our daily lives or works of art and decoration and its purpose was to remind people of their mortality. Since the body after death is " deconstructed " and disappears. But their presence remains the world through objects gain new contextual meanings after death. For the Bereaved this is a repair process, a reminder of the former body. Worldly and worthless objects acquire a new and intense meaning, as symbols of a triumph over the loss. What we feel on a particular object, space or smell is deeply marked by our past and personal and unique experiences .
