Human Need not Corporate Greed
A guerrilla advertising campaign against Corporate Greed.
As part of Semester One in my final year at Loughborough University, I wanted to explore to idea of guerrilla advertising as a means of communication to a large audience. Anti-capitalism has been a key interest of mine, and through research and idea development I decided to create a campaign against Corporate Greed using magnets. This is an different approach from typical poster and vinyl sticker ideas. Being magnetic makes the magnets placeable anywhere - lamp posts, cars, vans, cans, street signs, tables, etc. They are also removable, so if unwanted they are moveable - and if someone wants to take it home and show their friends, families or peers it branches out the message even further. I was inspired by modern cubist art - as seen on magazine covers and poster designs. The design uses rough shapes to make up a bold and striking image.
