The Big Sleep Book Cover Design
This brief was for Penguin Design Award 2013 which I need to come up with a new cover for Raymond Chandler’s 1939 classic The Big Sleep. This detective novel is noted for its complexity, with many characters double-crossing one another and many secrets being exposed throughout the narrative. Thus I used over printing to show the complexity, all the colours are from the story, the gun shot, the blood, the money and relationship between characters.
