My favorite assignment for the spring animation class was taking a 20 second snippet of a song and creating an animated video to accompany it. Recently I had heard (and really liked) a cover of the song "Gypsy Bard," and I was thrilled to model and animate a short scene to it. The lyric video for this song uses lots of pinks and purples, so I kept that color concept. I drew the graphic on the floor in Illustrator and edited the audio clip in Audition.

In the final video, the little glass ball is a mischievous thing that loves to fly around when no one is looking. Everything it touches or interacts with becomes magical...but when the ball becomes exhausted and can't go on any more, the magic stops. I also attached a sketch video to show the progress of the assignment.

DISCLAIMER: I don't own the song. The cover I used is by Living Tombstone: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?i5vlbpu1kvu34zb.
