The University Support Center at Cal Poly is designed to be a building that caters to the Art and Architecture programs. It houses essential facilities such as a copy and print room, digital fabrication lab, computer lab and art and architecture archives from the library. In addition to these spaces, there are faculty offices, a student lounge and gallery spaces. My design will seamlessly integrate spaces that are common to art and architecture in order to promote conversation and spark inspiration. My design responds to its context by creating new pedestrian paths and plazas to reinvigorate an often forgotten part of campus.
