Most Dangerous Places 2011
Utilizing InDesign and book making techniques we were to create a Japanese 5-hole punch bound book on any topic of our choosing. At the Height of the Libyan conflicts I chose to make a book highlighting the worlds most dangerous places. The Images were pulled from photo-journalism data-banks. The introductory page to a country contains the name of the country, listed first. Under the name are the coordinates for the country. Under the coordinates is the population count and finally under that is the countries 'IJET' rating. IJET is the world danger rating system, updated constantly, the system is measure on a scale of 1-5 under five distinct categories (crime, security service, civil unrest, terrorism and kidnappings) '5' being the worst and '1' being the safest.
