This is my personal tribute...
...TO the new immortal film The Little Prince Movie from Mark Osborne, Jamie Caliri and their whole fantastic crew and to the original book Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
If you have a look to the credit list, you’ll understand the recipe of this success lead from Mark Osborne one of the directors and producers of Kung Fu Panda (2008), The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004).
You can feel the delicate touch of light and design from the tamdem Jamie Caliri & Alexander Juhasz on the glorious stop motion sequences. I always declared myself an unconditional fan of all their previous artwork as well.
They reach an unusual and exquisite 3D CGI+Traditional Stop Motion production, masterfully mixed and riding.
The story is a transcended and amplified contemporany proposal, one step ahead from the original book.
Mark Osborne (3D Dir) and Jamie Caliri (Stop Motion Dir.) get the perfect balance between challenge and privilege.
Suitable for all ages even for those who have lost a bite of their “inner child” or…completely.
LOVE, HOPE, IMAGINATION and a clear BLUE Sky full of STAR is what we need!
According to the book the film is also full of many valuable lessons about life:
“What is essential, is invisible to the eye''
“The problem is no growing up, forgetting is” are one of the most inspirationals quotes that I've heard recently…
I found such a personal direct message to me… So here my personal tribute, a 100% puppet handmade and a short animation (test).
I encourage all of you to go to see this film. On Cinemas in Spain (from 9th. Septembre) and NETFLIX.
Long life to Stop-Motion and eternal stories!
Best whises,Nuria Garcia
