Utraque coffee table
Utraque ("two sides") is a coffee table with two faces, two essential materials, each one with two stories. The Utraque table has a wooden base that can be supported in two different ways and which supports a glass top. Both wood and glass used to construct this table have had previous uses and were bound for the trash, so it was created a new utility and opportunity for a second life for them.
The Utraque is an object built reusing materials: the PCW wood was collected from the garbage and the glass also had no use. The varnish used on the wood is water based and has an European eco-label. The base structure can be used in two ways making it versatile and the easy separation of the base and glass top makes it easier to reuse and recycle the different components.
