Pearl-Rock Retreat Website
Pearl-Rock Website
This is the current Pearl-Rock website that is live and available to look at www.pearl-rock.com.
This was the first ever website domain I worked on and at first I used notepad to create a simple heading, body, and footer using a few images and flashing text. However, afters years of experience I have upgraded the website making it a lot more appealing and cohesive. The layout of the website was intended to be fairly basic giving it a relaxing look and feel without overwhelming the user.

I used the same design template for all pages ensuring that the design and layouts were consistent - For the homepage I added all of the neccessary content and included an image of the Turkish sunset. Using a bit of javascript I had learnt from following a variety of tutorials I coded the image so that when the mouse hovers over it then it will zoom in.

On the next page as you can see below I created several internal gallery pages showing the ins and outs of the penthouse. However, using some free code I found I rigged each photo so that when the user clicked on it it would then be displayed at its full size. Also, it would give the user numerous options such as 'Show Next/Previous Image' or 'Play Slideshow of all Images'

On the 'Location' page I inserted some simple code which when displayed in a browser would show a Google map of exactly where in the world the penthouse was located.

Here I have inserted a Flash availability calendar showing exactly when the penthouse is in use. This can be easily altered and updated.

I thought it would be good to insert a review page - just to show exactly what other people who have gone to the resort think of it. Using some simple Javascript I created a neat little comment area where people can place their Name, Email, and Message along with their rating.

Finally, as all well developed websites should have I created a contact page - Using a simple form with a bit of coding I created an easy to fill out contact form as you can see below.
