A Theoretical graphic design project, titled 'Squifty'. Squifty is a 'species' or little creature that lives in another dimension unlike ours. The Squifties all have a range of different personalities, and are a large and growing family. Their conflicting views on life often leads to a lot of struggle among them, also, they're kind of struggling with existentialism. Oops. The Squifties themselves are hand-crafted (little) plushie key-chains which stand at about 8 CM high, and are made of cotton.
This project incoporates, both design elements and character design.
Target Audience: Ages 10 & up.
CONCEPTUAL PHASE:

Concept drawings of Squifties. 'Proto-Squifties'.
Cartoon Illustrations to accompany the keychains. The idea was to give each character a personality, and the entire 'Squifty' brand was going to have a complete story-line behind it.
SOLID PHASE:
Through production, their designs were changed around for ease of distribution (sewing patterns). Easier designs were chosen without a compromise on quality. Pictured, also are little laser-cut tags made of Plywood with the 'Squifty' logo. Each Key-chain stands at about a height of 8CM tall and inside each of them is a bell. Upon shaking them up and down, they sound quite musically. For functionality sake, the materials in which they are created from are imbued with stiffener for durability.
Packaging was designed with a mixture of both fun and minimalism, in order to appeal to both younger and older audiences.

Booklets were created to accompany each Squifty. The booklets themselves outlined each Squifty's personality.
