These examples illustrate the personas I created after doing numerous interviews at several fitness clubs.  These are the general people that interact with our software on a daily basis.

My Approach

Basic / Advanced Tech Level
Asked a serious of questions to quiz the interviewees on their basic and advanced tech skills and rated on a scale of 1-10.  I then averages all the numbers to come up with a mean

Lead Character / Supporting Character / Negative Influence
These represent the various parts of our software the user interacts with.  If they are a Lead, they interact with that software on a daily basis.  Supporting is various incidental interactions.  Negative Influence is when the person does not use the software but may have varying opinions about it.  This helps the designer identify the best testers for what part of the software they may be using.

Goals and Frustrations
Based on various feedback, these sections help us to identify with the user.  What are they trying to accomplish throughout the day and what frustrations do they hit.  These do not necessarily need to pertain to the software.
