My earliest memories are about ancient tales, heroes, annual celebrations, ghosts & spirits that dwell around, and this was a very normal way of seeing the world around me. Now I am rephrasing my inner symbols regarding faith (the relationship between Christianity and Paganism), terrors such as the terror of death & finitude, ancient myths, fantastic animals, demons and letters, signs and symbols... all that my memory can unfold regarding sign systems in general. For this series I've mixed up a special orange. I like to call it : 'von Kronstadt orange'. Simplicity and rhythm. Wood, paint, time... Painting is a great ecological struggle. A deep meditation on the nature of life and form. For me, it begins with the question: what is the meaning of an image? An image is just the final stage of an unconscious emergence.
